Ridge, like many wineries in California, has faced the impact of extended drought and wildfires. Climate change is real. It is our responsibility as caretakers of the land to reduce our carbon footprint and to aid IWCA in its mission to decarbonize the wine industry.
About
Ridge Vineyards
Nearly 60 years ago in 1962, Ridge made their first Monte Bello, and two years later their first zinfandel. Since this time, Ridge has championed single vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare vineyards where climate, soil, and varietal are ideally matched. Ridge Vineyards is the largest grower of organically certified grapes in Sonoma County and in the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation with 379 total certified acres. All of Ridge’s vineyards in Sonoma County and Santa Cruz Mountains are Certified Sustainable by Fish Friendly Farming. Their photovoltaic panels supply 75% of the Lytton Springs winery’s electricity needs annually.
